I took the class in 2008 and we just started following the program and doing a monthly budget when my wife was laid off from her job. Because we had saved some money and were budgeting every dollar on paper before the month began we did not panic and were able to handle the lost income a lot better than we would have before doing a regular detailed budget. My wife read the book 48 Days to the Work You Love and found a job through networking with the Career Ministry at church a few months later. Taking FPU together also improved our relationship and brought us closer. We are doing great now! Thanks Dave and Thanks Dexter!
